The Don Letts Subculture Films

September 16, 2013

Don Letts, known for Big Audio Dynamite and close ties with The Clash was commissioned by Fred Perry to do a series of films documenting British music and fashion subcultures. From Teddy Boys to Mods, Skinheads to Two-Tone. It pretty much covers all of my favorite scenes and makes a bit of sense of them all. Accompanied by a great soundtrack, its well worth the watch. Fred Perry does a good job of staying out of the spotlight and letting the film speak for itself. Check it out.
